Out of the Loop

For the past three weeks I have been in a fog while life has continued around me. On May 25th I had a lumpectomy to remove cancer from my right breast (State IIa) and also had 19 lymph nodes removed. Recovery was harder due to the presence of a drain for the lymph nodes. I had it taken out after two weeks and then had a second operation on Monday, June 11 to clear my the margins of the first lumpectomy.
After three weeks from the beginning of the process I am finally feeling human again. I went to the pool today with the boys and was able to move and stretch my arm without pain in the water- what a relief. My arm is still tight, numb and sore (temporary nerve damage) and my side and boob are still achey sometimes, but all in all- I feel pretty good.
My bed and I have become really familiar with each other. I have watched lots of movies, tv shows, read books, played games on iPad and rested.  This girl is ready to come out of hiding and help my kids finish their school year strong. Thanks for the prayers!!
