Last Hurrah

We have been enjoying our time at the beach this summer- especially our last outing. We went with our friends, The Wades, to Emerald Bay in Laguna Beach. Emerald Bay is paradise!

The Bald and the Beautiful!

My head has had many transformations in the last week since we clipped it short. We cut it off on Thursday and on Monday the majority had come out (picture 1).  So on Tuesday Dan took the rest off with a razor- smooth as Daddy Warbucks!

The Boy's Adventures

While all this craziness goes on with me, the boys are having the summer of their lives. Dan commented that perhaps the kids will remember this summer by all the fun things they got to do and not that mommy was going through chemotherapy- I pray so!

This past weekend when I was down for the count, the boys got to hang out with the Hammond Family. Carrie and I have known each other since junior high and our kids have grown up together. Unfortunately we don't get to see them as often as we like since they are down near San Diego.

However, we met Carrie in Dana Point on Friday and did the hand over. Being with Carrie and her boys is like going to camp- they fished, slept in a tent, skinny dipped, surfed at the beach, and lots of other fun things.

Needless to say, when they came home on Sunday they had lots of stories and big grins on their faces!!

Meeting up with "old" friends in Dana Point!

Fishing off pier in Oceanside- Go Nate!!

Making new "friends"

Pillow Fights!

Playing at the Beach!

Cuddling Dog before bed!

 Climbing walls!

Now these are memories worth making and keeping!!

Hair Today.....Gone Tomorrow- Part 2

Well, 12 days after my first cycle of chemo my hair started coming out. I pulled some out and let the boys each pull some out. It was weird- I couldn't really feel it. It is as if the hair follicles just gave up and didn't want to hold on anymore.

It starts to come out...

Before the cutting began!

Everyone got to participate in
the shaving of my head- so much fun!

The Boys join in on the fun!
Thanks for the support Guys!
