Actually, this is for the entire family. Dan and I walked into the Apple Store at the Spectrum today to see if they had an i pad 2 available (little did I know that people have been waiting in line for these suckers) and someone had just returned the exact one we wanted (16 GB with wi-fi) unopened and still wrapped in plastic (can we say God thing?).
Apple is an amazing company and they got me set up and on my way in no time at all. I have been adding apps like crazy and having so much fun. It is the first piece technology that Dan has really wanted and although this i pad is mine, he is looking forward to getting the 3 when it comes out. Maybe we will turn into an Apple family after all.

Sick As A Dog!
Seriously, I have been the sickest I have ever been. Last Sunday I taught at church and then we went to see Rango (great movie) as a family and by the end of the movie I was so bleary. We came back to my mother in law's house and I went upstairs and crashed. I started getting a fever and I was goner. I emailed my work and said I wouldn't be in for Monday- little did I know that I wouldn't be in the entire week. Dan was sick too and he and I slept in Monday morning while Ryan (home for Spring Break) took the boys to and from school. I honestly don't know what we would have done without Ryan home this week. He helped so much and the little boys really had to be self- sufficient. I was so proud of all of them.
I pretty much was bed ridden for 5 days. My fever spiked all the way up to 103.6 and I even fainted on Wednesday morning (dehydration and high fever) but Dan was there to help. The cold went pretty heavy into my chest and I couldn't breathe very well- I ended up at the doctor. She did a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia (I never did find out).
I am still pretty weak, but doing better. I am going to attempt work next week. I really missed the children!

Talent Show
Brywood Jog-A-Thon
Today was our school's Jog-A-Thon. The boys were so excited to get out there and run laps. In Kindergarten I have been taking the kiddos out to practice and it showed today. They ran for 30 minutes and did AWESOME. Unfortunately I didn't get to see Nathan's grade run, but many friends said that he looked good and hopefully I will get some pictures!!

Moon Cookies
Tonight after dinner I was reading a book called "The Moon Might Be Milk" by Lisa Shulman. I had never read this book, but was pleased by the outcome- a recipe for "Gran's Sugar Cookie Moons". I said to the boys, "I have all the ingredients, let's make some cookies" The boys were up for the challenge. Our kitchen is so small and we don't often all get in there and cook together, but this turned out great.
The cookies are really simple and really tasty. I love good books and good food and spending time with my "sweet" boys!!
Recipe:
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet
2. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt
3. In another bowl, mix butter and sugar. Stir in egg, milk and vanilla
4. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and mix well
5. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart
6. To flatten each cookie and make it sparkle, grease the bottom of glass.
Dip the glass into sugar and press it onto the dough
7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes
ENJOY!!

More Butterflies
After our first butterfly flew into the air, the other two soon came out of their chrysalis. Here are some more photos of these beautiful creatures! Enjoy!!
